Holiday Season is here

I haven't blogged in a while so it feels good to write again. I have had a long summer and things have not slowed down at all. The Gotham Island event finally ended on October 31st and we surpassed our set goal. Next on my list is The Christmas Expo in which I have been working on my store and designs as well. Besides that I've honestly been quiet these days and only talk to very few people not counting anything business related. I'm simply to busy to be active in the way I was before.

Right now I am just looking forward to the holiday season starting soon and taking that Christmas break to refresh for the new year. I also wanted to do a winter artsy style photo so I came up with this and like it very much. The coat I'm wearing which is perfect for winter is from Gizza, that brand however is now closed.

There is some exciting news to share as the first ever charity awards was held in Second Life. I'm proud I did so well and was surprised at a few of the results. I will just be listing mine below.

Next Adventure

I have finished my collection and it feels good. A break is much deserved from designing for now and I hope to start back up again in the winter. I have finally started on the sims for next month's event. The event will take place on October 1st, 2017 and run until midnight on October 31st, 2017. I'm very excited to decorate everything Halloween.

My Crazy Schedule

Some turn of events have happened recently as well as so much other things I am involved in. First being I decided to remove myself as the shop manager for a job I was hired not long ago because it's honestly best. I'd rather be the coordinator for large events because it's what I know and am used to.

In meantime I am working on my 3rd anniversary collection in which I am very excited about. It will feature a sneak peek advertise in next month Eclipse Magazine. I have finished the single colors of the entire collection in order to give time for the models to style for their photoshoots. I have complete four of ten in the collection but I look forward to the entire collection finished. The anniversary is next month in August.

I am also looking forward to Gotham City Event 2017 which supports The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The event will take place on October 1st, 2017 and run until midnight on October 31st, 2017. We will work on the sim in September. I'm very excited to decorate everything Halloween.

While that event will run the entire month of October. I do look forward to taking small breaks in between. This will help me keep me relaxed and also help prepare for November. As for December which is time for Christmas (yay!). I hope to be able to participate in The Christmas Expo which helps support Relay For Life during the off-season. I have since 2015 so I will do my best to continue. Christmas is after all the time when people give the most.

So as you can see I can fully booked for the entire year. At times it feels like so much to do so little time. It's all about balance and remembering to step away for a moment to. This is also why I haven't been able to blog.

A New Chapter

An unexpected sweet surprise happened yesterday. Those can be the most fun since it gives a genuine reaction. I was sending out the official notecards to the selected nominees for the Woman of the Year Award that is part of Rouge Awards. I've been doing this for 5 months now with various other categories and I enjoy talking to the nominees.

I have been a charity supporter since I started Second Life back in 2011. I got the chance to do more however once I became a designer. The first charity I donated a large amount of linden to was The Michael J. Fox Foundation better known as Creations Park in Second Life in 2014 and been friends with the lovely owner Barbie Alchemi ever since.

We got to talking and I asked if there was a shop opening possibly because I would love to contribute with my brands. To my luck there was an opening and it was the perfect store to. However to my surprise I was completely caught of guard (in a very good way) she offered me a job as the Fashion Manager for the shopping areas. I didn't even have to think about it I automatically said yes. Some might think I'm a bit crazy if they were to find out how much work I already do. What some may not understand is this isn't work for me, it's my passion.

Now I get to work for the two biggest charities in Second Life and am so proud of that. I honestly do not know anyone else who does so I count myself very blessed and honored I get to lend my hand to both. I plan on doing my absolute best and bring an entire upgrade to the shopping area. This will take time and careful planning as the Creation's Park team has never had such help before but I do feel they should still be proud for all they have created.

Moonlight Serenade

As you can see I changed my blog template. It was not easy finding the perfect one for me. I knew what I wanted but never could find it until now. So much offered is repetitive designs. They are all in a way connected and have to much similarities. The fact I managed to find this one is a miracle and I love it. I finally have something permanent which is nice.  I've also been enjoying from retirement from modeling. Feels nice and a feeling I haven't felt for a long time. I'm going to enjoy being backstage person and helping others. I also get to blog more to. Something I've wanted to do for a while now.

This will help me improve my photography skills, editing skills, selecting backgrounds, props, poses and so on. It will also help me get used to becoming a full time blogger. I'm sure some will ask me if I want to blog for others brands and the answer is no I will not. The reason for this is because I own my own brand, I like to blog freely whatever I want and I do not need more work. It got to the point for me where I became exhausted and I knew I had to cut back on many things (included my first step was retiring from modeling). It's been 2 months now and I'm enjoying it every minute of it.

Fly above the Skies

Fly above the skies
Reach for the stars
Always dream
And never give up
Even when you are down
Only way is up
Success will come
For those who work for it
Even if you have to walk alone
It takes more courage
Keep in mind
Always stay humble
For a genuine person
Gets more out of life
One chapter may close
But another will open
Moving forward is part of life
Even when people tell you no
Even when people tell you to quit
Even when people say you're not good enough
Do not believe them
Keep doing what you do
For your future is yours for the taking

All Business

Today is my first full day as a retired model. It felt pretty good. I did promise myself when I do that I would work on becoming a better blogger. I love having one. I get to write whatever I feel and showcase whatever I want. I plan on staying a freelance blogger. That means I will not be tied to any brands. In some way it feels like a weight has lifted off me and it feels good. Now I can fully enjoy all the other amazing things I do and partly stay away from the spotlight. I like being in my own little bubble.  It is peaceful and I love my peace.

The Last Petal has Fallen

Yesterday was the live audition for The Fantasy Angels and today morning they posted the results. Unfortunately again I didn't pass and it got me thinking that I'm tired of it. I have 2 events left to do and that's it for me. After almost 4 years I am retiring as a model. It's just not in me anymore. I would rather be behind the scenes taking care of my companies now. I have found more success in holding a business then modeling. If I am asked for special events only I will consider it otherwise I am hanging up my heels.

The Fantasy Angels Casting (TOP 25)

It has been a year since I casted for The Fantasy Angels Company. It is now a new year which means a fresh new beginning to be added to my list of ever growing hard work. I wanted to cast again to redeem myself from last time and hope to go all the way this time. I'm very serious and determined to becoming an official angel. Here's hope to becoming one this time.
